Happy New Year MOR patrons! We’re glad to be back and are looking forward to an awesome 2018! This week, we’re going to recap some of the new events and exciting happenings that took place throughout our resorts last year, and give you our #1 resolution for 2018. We had a lot of fun in 2017, so let’s recap:
We’re excited to introduce our fifth resort, Ham Lake, opening in May 2018. Ham Lake will offer all the things you’ve come to love from Midwest Outdoor Resorts, including camping, kayaking/canoeing and even a swimming beach! Ham Lake is our closest resort to the Twin Cities (about a 30 minute drive north on Highway 65), so it will be a perfect weekend getaway destination.
Introduced the Plush Rowdy:

Hosted multiple Member Appreciation Events:
From bus tours to fall festivals, dances and superhero fun runs, we had a great time hosting events at our resorts. We love getting to know our members, and our member appreciation events are a great way to meet your short-term neighbors! Keep an eye out for more fun events coming in 2018.
Hosted Pampered Campers:
Speaking of member appreciation, on July 8th we hosted a pampered campers event at Rushmore Shadows. It was a great time as we invited vendors to come out for a fun day of pampering members.
Hosted first Camping World sale at Rushmore Shadows:
If you’re into the road-tripping lifestyle, this event was for you. Campers, trailers, Class A,B and C motorhomes, you name it, Camping World brought it out. It was our first Camping World sale, and if you’re a recreational vehicle enthusiast, you didn’t want to miss it. Stay tuned for future Camping World and MOR collaborations!
Our #1 Resolution for 2018: TAKE MORE TIME TO ENJOY LIFE!
In today’s age, it’s easy to feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day to accomplish everything you’d like. This year, let’s resolve to take a little time for ourselves and our families. Sure, work is important, but if we’re constantly feeling run-down or stressed, we’re probably not doing our best at our job anyway. Even if it’s just a weekend getaway, taking some time for yourself can refresh your batteries and give you the strength you need to power through. Hopefully you had a safe and happy holiday season, and we can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store. Happy exploring!
