We’re continuing with our fall theme this week as we take some look at some delicious snacks you can enjoy outdoors. Some will need to be cooked over the campfire and others you can make at home and bring along, but they’re all tasty! Let’s take a look at some treats that will warm you on those brisk autumn night (click links for recipes).
Whether you make them on your trip or bake them at home, these baked apples are a healthy alternative to camping desserts. These are served warm and will melt in your mouth!
Campfire Cinnamon Roll-Ups
They’re not quite as healthy as baked apples, but these easy-to-make cinnamon roll-ups will sure warm up the campsite! The best part is they only take about 5 minutes over an open flame.
Walnut Pea Pesto Panini
These quick sandwiches are great for car camping. The main ingredient are frozen peas, making this a healthy snack for the whole fam!
Everyone will love these succulent snacks! This is a treat you’ll want to make at home then heat over a campfire in the wilderness. If someone isn’t really into onions, you may need to come up with a different name for these treats!
Talk about simple and healthy! You can of course skewer these and keep them in the cooler or let everyone make their own. Add some hot honey sauce to make this healthy treat a little sweeter.
Homemade Granola Bars
It wouldn’t be a camping snack without granola and trail mix right? You’ll want to make these at the oven at home and take them with you, but they’re a perfect snack when you take a break in the middle of your hike!
Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
It says it right in the name…these are easy! Everyone loves chocolate chip cookies, especially after a long day outdoors. This is another snack you’ll want to make at home and bring with you.
Campers Favorite Dip
Be sure to make enough of this delicious dip! You won’t need much for ingredients and the recipe only takes about 10 minutes start-to-finish. Bring some tortilla chips and you have an awesome fall snack!
